Project Brain ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile and desktop applications.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you create an account:

• Email address — used for authentication and account identification
• Display name — optional, used to personalize your experience
• Project and idea data — the content you create within the app

We do not collect your location, contacts, or any other personal information.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and sync your data across devices
• To manage your account and subscription status
• To send transactional emails related to your account

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore), hosted in the United States. Firebase complies with GDPR and other applicable data protection regulations.

If you use the app without an account, your data is stored locally on your device only and is not transmitted to our servers.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Project Brain Pro subscriptions can be purchased through:

• Apple In-App Purchase (iOS app) — handled by Apple; we do not access or store payment information. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Paddle (desktop app) — handled by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. We do not store your payment card information. See paddle.com/legal/privacy.

We receive only the subscription status (active / inactive) and a transaction identifier from these payment providers to unlock Pro features in your account.

5. Third-Party Services

• Google Firebase — authentication and data storage
• Apple App Store — payment processing for iOS subscriptions
• Paddle — payment processing for desktop subscriptions

6. Data Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen. Upon deletion, all your personal data and content are permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

Project Brain is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
